Tree Protection for Slacklining: Safeguarding Trees and Gear
When slacklining in parks, it's vital to protect the trees. Always use tree protection for slacklines to safeguard the bark and prolong your slackline's life.
Tree guards come in three sizes: S, L, XL. They can be combined to fit even the largest trees.
The XL treewear includes velcro straps to secure the ROUND SLING SPANSET, preventing slipping during setup.
Preventing Bans: Use Tree Protection
Slacklining without tree padding can damage tree bark, leading to bans in some parks. Choose trees with a minimum 40 cm diameter and thick bark. Avoid slacklining between January and May, as bark membranes are forming. Ensure anchor slings do not encircle the tree completely to avoid suffocation.
Using Wide, Flat Anchor Slings
For tree anchoring, use slings with a broad surface, not ropes, to prevent bark damage. Avoid knots contacting the tree. Wide surface slings or ROUND SLING SPANSETS are ideal.
