MINI DOUBLE LONGLINE PULLEY SYSTEM

MINI DOUBLE is an optimized pulley system with smaller dimensions and a lighter weight for longline, highline, and waterline use.

One of its best features is its adapable braking system. The standard brake (STAUP steel lever brake) or the innovative BLACKBRAKE rope for the valdotane knot (VT knot).

Pulley system contents

• 1x SET MINI DOUBLE PULLEY - Compatible connectors: shackles Ø8-Ø16 mm in both directions, shackles Ø16-Ø20 on the pin, Quicklinks Ø8-Ø20, every symetrical EN 12275 carabiner;
• 1x 5 MM OVAL QUICK LINK DPI
• 1x K2 LOW STRETCH ROPE Ø6 mm - select length
• 1x STAUP BRAKE with 6mm U shackle or BLACKBRAKE for Valdôtain tressé knot

If you do not already own an appropriate multiplier, think about completing your system with a Multiplier PULLEY + SPECIAL KNOTTED ROPE.

Can I set up a 100 m Longline with a 25m rope?

The length of the longline you can set up with a pulley system depends on: the line stretch, the landscape (flat or with a bowl), and on your tensioning preferences (low tension <5 kN or high tension <12 kN). With a webbing like the FLY LINE, you can rig up to:

• 75m long slackline with 25m of rope
• 150m long slackline with 50m of rope
• 300m long slackline with 50m of rope + Line Grip or other line grabbing device.

The innovative STAUP Brake vs the light and compact BLACKROPE

If you are not into knots, the STAUP brake is your excellent choice. Extremely intuitive and easy to release tension even under high loads; it functions much like the Mammut  Smart or ATC Pilot belay devices. 

If you are looking for something lighter, the integrated BLACKBRAKE connection eye in the pulley allows to create a system with excellent efficiency thanks to the redirection of the rope happening on ball bearings. Unlike a cam system, the BLACKBRAKE knot allows you to tension and de-tension easily. It also preserves 95% of the rope's breaking strength.

 
The BLACKBRAKE rope is designed to offer a zero slippage brake with high wear resistance thanks to the TECHNORA 32 braid rope. 

Should I add a Multiplier?

The multiplier is necessary to increase your power ratio to 3:1. With a multiplier, you can reach higher tensions without anyone elses help. The multiplier is an aluminum alloy pulley with a self locking knot like a prusik that attaches to the rope. Our multiplier is the CAMP TETHYS LOW FRICTION BEARINGS pulley.
