Oval quick link stainless steel

This oval shape quicklink is made of stainless steel in order to last longer than standardized zinc coated quick links, especially in salty marine environments.

  • 8 mm 25 kN: smooth surface to connect abrasion sensitive gear, like sewn loops on a webbing. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) certified following standards of EN362 & EN 12275 and UIAA labeled.
  • 5 mm 14 kN: smooth surface to connect rope to pulley system. NOT PPE certified.

Stainless steel Quick link - PPE Personal Protective Equipment

A quick link is cheaper and smaller than a carabiner; though it is stronger at the same size. The quick link is a perfect connector for anything that is meant to be permanently installed; unlike carabiners which are meant to be opened and closed repeatedly.

The 8mm oval quick link has a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) certificate, following standards of EN362 & EN 12275 and UIAA labeled. The 5mm oval quick link is NOT certified as PPE.

The smooth surface of the quick link makes it a great connector for slackline, longline, and highline use.

Oval Quick Links made of Stainless steel

These quick links are made of stainless steel to prevent corrosion and oxidation even when installed in salty, marine environments. They last longer than standard zinc coated quick links.

OVAL quick links

They are designed to work in linear loading. An alternative to carabiners; they are excellent connectors inside a pulley system or for a Highline set up.

Frequent uses:

  • To connect a static rope with a knot to the fixed part of the pulley
  • To connect a pulley to an anchor plate
  • To connect a static rope to a anchor bolt for Highlines (in case of a round sling it is recommended to use Delta quick links)
  • To connect the backup line of a highline to the splits (SLACK INOV' SPLIT, T-Loop or Fractio) in the rig
  • To connect the sewn loops of the main highline

Occasional uses:

  • To connect a round sling spanset to a pulley or to the line lock
  • Together with a shackle it can become the locking pin of a ground slackline

DO NOT use:

  • Trickline
  • To equalize slings in a tri-loading context

Warning

Always check that you have fully closed the quick links before use. If you forget to close them, they may bend quickly when subjected to tension. For a secure lock, they must be closed with a wrench. Finger pressure strength is sufficient to use as a semi-permanent connector.

When not in use, keep the quick link screwed closed. This prevents exposure to open air, dust, or other atmospheric agents.
