SKY DIAMOND - Ideal for Extreme Lengths

Our SKY DIAMOND webbing is crafted from UHMWPE fibers (also known as Dyneema) for the core and a hybrid UHMWPE and Vectran fiber shell with puffed edges; offering a high tech webbing without the slippery underfoot feel.  

With a width of just 17mm(0.67 inches), SKY DIAMOND is much thinner than standard 1-inch (25mm) webbings. This reduced width minimizes wind impact on the setup and anchors, ensuring stability even in windy conditions.

The innovative puffed-edge technology provides a gentle experience for hands and feet despite the webbing’s thin profile.

Minimal Weight and Stretch

Developed with big projects in mind, SKY DIAMOND features a low weight of 1.11 oz/ft (33 g/m) with a high strength. It's perfect for long projects at less than 3% stretch at 10 kN. The mass-dyed fibers offer increased UV resistance for prolonged rigging.

Understanding SPLIT50 and SPLIT100

SPLIT refers to webbing lengths set at either 50 meters(164 feet) or 100 meters(328 feet), with sewn loops on the ends.

Setting Up the SKY DIAMOND

We recommend using the SKY DIAMOND only in the middle of your SPLITS setup and attaching NON-DYNEEMA WEBBING at the anchors. This can be done on both sides (option A) or just where you will be tensioning (option B).

Using a non-dyneema split at the end ensures a longer life for your SKY DIAMOND webbing, increases friction when entering a typically steep section of a big highline.

Can I Use the 17mm(0.67-inch) SKY DIAMOND alone with a Weblock?

No, the 17mm (0.67 inch) SKY DIAMOND is not compatible with any weblock due to the high risk of slippage, even with anti-slip devices.

We offer a SPECIAL PROTECTIVE SLEEVE, which is a 1-inch (25mm) webbing threaded onto each SPLIT. This special sleeve is slidable and should be used where your setup will be anchored. This part of the SPLIT can then be used in a standard weblock or linelock.

Can I Use a LINEGRIP on SKY DIAMOND Webbing?

Using a standard LINEGRIP on SKY DIAMOND isn't as efficient and may slip at tensions above 4 kN. However, it won't damage the webbing as seen with other standard dyneema lines. To avoid tensioning issues, consider SET-UP OPTION A or B, where no SKY DIAMOND is gripped.

The SKY DIAMOND webbing is designed for installation using our INOV' SPLIT technology for long lengths. As such, we do not offer this webbing BY METER.
